VOICE PRODUCTION The key to being able to sing well in any style is good voice production. Voice production includes elements such as breathing, projection and pitch., and is the main focus of George's
teaching. |
START WITH THE BASICS
If you want to be a singer, you can learn it just like any skill. The more you learn, the more 'natural talent' you will have!By learning and developing the basic elements of voice control,
musical knowledge, pitch control and recognition, you will be able to sing in any style (even Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols was a trained singer).
Learn the ability to sing well, and your improved confidence and musical ability will take you where you want to go. VARIETY OF STYLES
Good singers 'interpret songs'. They use emotion to move their audience to where ever they want
them. You can learn to do this. Choose the style, colour, and flavour of each word from the variety of styles you have learned. Student Singers with George Morrison develop their
range of choices in any situation from the various styles he teaches. From Scottish Country music, to Blues, Jazz, and Opera.

George can teach you the musical
vocabulary essential to a musical career. If you want to join a choir, sing at a wedding, or stand in front of a rock band, George Morrison has a wealth of experience you can benefit from.

PERFORMANCE TRAINING Part of the service George provides to his students is to get them performing in front of an audience suitable for their level of confidence and experience. This ranges from small
performances in intimate surroundings for the beginner, to performing in front of large paying audiences as confidence increases. AGES George will take pupils from 16 to any age. He
believes that increasing age will not limit your ability to sing, however heavy singing such as Opera should not be undertaken untill the voice is mature enough. EXPERIENCE George draws on real experience in
performance, including Singing, Theatre and Stand-up Comedy. During much of the time he has been performing, he has been passing his knowledge on to others.

George is the Vice-President of Capital Performing Arts Inc. and has been a teacher of Singing, Speech and Drama for more than thirty years. |
