This is a club for people who enjoy performing and/or listening to a wide range of music with
the emphasis on acoustic styles. Acoustic Routes has been the main vehicle for folk and
acoustic music in Wellington for over 20 years.

MONTHLY CONCERTS are held at the Wellington Arts Centre underneath the Band
Rotunda, Oriental Bay, on the fourth Sunday of each month except October, December and
January, starting at 8pm. These feature an invited guest performer as the main act, with a
variety of supporting acts to open the show. Door charges are generally $5 for members, $7
for non-members, and school-aged kids free. Enjoy the free tea and coffee.

Membership entitles members to our monthly news, letter, The Balladeer, door-charge
concessions, and voting rights at AGMs and SGMs. Members also have the chance to
become actively involved in the folk music scene through the contacts we have with other
clubs and venues around the country, all run in the same friendly manner. As well, Madness
Music (Newtown Mall) offers a 10% discount on normal-price purchases on production of
your membership card.
